ABOUT US

ULaxCO (formerly Unified Lacrosse) started as an idea that Griffin Gharrrity, then sophomore at Cherry Creek High School, had to combine his love of the game of lacrosse with a passion for engaging with differently abled youth. In 2015, Griffin shared his idea of creating an adaptive lacrosse team with some of his high school teammates and together, with the support and guidance of coach Jeremy Dorr, they launched a unique nonprofit organization that was embraced by athletes, partner athletes, families and our community.  After this group graduated, leadership responsibilities were transitioned to high school students and dedicated volunteers who continued to grow the program.

Unfortunately, during COVID, all ULaxCO activity and fundraising was halted.

In the Fall of 2022, Charlotte Morton and Cooper Perry set out to relaunch ULaxCo.  This lacrosse loving duo, who separately happen to have a cousin and sibling with special needs, used the incredible Unified Lacrosse platform as a foundation for ULaxCO and continue to build upon the original goal  - Growing the game. Uniting Our Community.  Now in its second season, ULaxCo is proud to host three learning sessions and a game against University of Denver Men's Lacrosse team as the fourth and final session.

We would be remiss to not thank Jeremy for his kindness, knowledge and time, as well as Amy Miller, the mother of Nate Miller, a founding member, without whom this relaunch would not be possible.
